Hila Tells Stories - Stone Soup Magic

Karratha Library READ Room
Friday 10 May, 10am to 11.30am

FREE, bookings required
3-10 years, adult accompaniment

Get ready for a magical and interactive show that invites children and their parents to gather around a cosy “fire”.

Once upon a time, a group of tired and hungry travellers reached a strange and humble village. They were hoping for some food and a place to rest, but the villagers turned them away.

With music, imagination, and storytelling, this show takes us on a journey to explore valuable lessons about community, sharing, and being kind to one another. Our adaptation of the beloved multicultural folktale, ‘Stone Soup.’

Performance is 45-minutes, followed by a workshop (please feel free to skip the workshop if your child doesn’t want to stay)

WORKSHOP

After enjoying the “Stone Soup Magic” performance, children can continue their journey of imagination with our interactive workshop. In this workshop, we delve into the themes of community, sharing, and kindness, building upon the lessons learned from the show. Activities Includes Improvisation Techniques and Drama Games.

This post-show workshop serves as an extension of the performance, allowing children to actively engage with the content and unleash their creativity and build a stronger sense of self while having a great time.

Parents, please feel free to leave after the performance if you feel your child isn’t ready for the workshop.
