The Red Earth Arts Festival (REAF) is an annual regional arts and cultural festival presented by the City of Karratha, with support from principal partner, Rio Tinto, and a range of community partners.
In it's 12th year, REAF will be presented from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 March 2022, positioned in and around the Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP) and nearby indoor and outdoor urban spaces - Walgu Park, Karratha City Shopping Centre and The Quarter. Following the festival, screenings of Lotterywest Films will be presented from Thursday 24 to 27 March 2022 on The Shelf, Red Earth Arts Precinct.
REAF 2022 will provide high-quality entertainment and arts experiences. There will be an emphasis on local storytelling, community participation, skills development and much more.
The Red Earth Arts Festival highlights Council’s ongoing commitment to arts and culture in the City. Council acknowledges the role arts and culture has in bringing people together to enhance the liveability of our community. Our region is recognised as an artistic and creative hub and we are committed to activating and expanding the arts through major events such as REAF.
