Salama

The Salama family is back with a suitcase full of colourful stories and songs as they embark on a soulful journey where they explore with humour their origins, motherlands, culture, friendships, and ultimately, who they are. Experience sunny music and storytelling with a Creole twist, in their powerful rhythms, joyful chants and island moves.

Salama is a multicultural ensemble comprised of performers from diverse backgrounds, hailing from Mauritius, the Seychelles, Reunion, Madagascar, New Caledonia, West Africa (Mali and Guinea), South Africa, Sri Lanka, France, and Australia. The essence of Salama lies in their roots — where they were born and the homelands of their ancestors; it’s a celebration of their respective mother countries.
